DESCRIPTION:E4TT celebrates the sesquicentennial of Schoenberg’s birth with a  multimedia dialogue between music by the Second Viennese School triumvirate of Berg, Schoenberg and Webern and new music inspired by their groundbreaking work.\nFeaturing:\n*Schoenberg: Drei Klavierstuecke (Three Piano Pieces), Op. 11 #1 and 3;\n*Webern: Sonatensatz (Rondo) für Klavier (Sonata Movement (Rondo) for Piano,);\n*Berg: WORLD PREMIERE of a new chamber arrangement by percussionist/composer TJ Martin of Berg’s major early twelve-tone work, Sieben Frühe Lieder (1905-1908), for soprano, English horn, cello, and vibraphone;\nAND WORLD PREMIERES of two commissions:\n*David Garner (E4TT’s co-founder and Senior Artistic Advisor): Piano Trio #2, using his tonal serialism technique;\n*”Valerie Liu: a new trio for English horn, cello, and piano;\n*Plus the winning piece from the SFCM TAC Department student composition competition.\nE4TT soprano Nanette McGuinness will be joined by guests percussionist Elizabeth Clark Hall, violinist Lylia Redondas, English hornist Laura Reynolds, cellist Amy Brodo, and pianists Taylor Chan and Dale Tsang.\nIn collaboration with the SF Conservatory of Music Technology and\nApplied Composition (TAC) Department and with visuals by Arnold Schoenberg, Expressionist painters, Stephanie Neumann, and real-time processing.\nThe concert is free to attend  (RSVP recommended) and will also be livestreamed at no charge on the SF Conservatory of Music’s Vimeo channel.\n“Expression: Ism” is made possible through the Musical Grant Program, which is administered by InterMusic SF, and supported by the Clarence E.
