The Common App simplifies the grant application process and unifies how grant questions are asked so grantseekers’ responses can be used to apply for multiple funding opportunities. Topics covered will include:\n\nAn Overview of The Common App\nWhat kind of funding is available through The Common App\nHow The Common App is integrated with other applications\nGeneral approaches to application questions\nThe Budget Template tool\n\nJoin this event in person or virtually to gain insight on how best to benefit from this innovative tool – a pathway to arts funding in the Bay Area.\nMargot Melcon (she/her) joined the Zellerbach Family Foundation in 2015 and manages the arts and culture grantmaking portfolio – including the Community Arts program – where she works to create an equitable, responsive, and accessible relationship in community with Bay Area artists. Prior to joining the foundation, she worked with nonprofit arts organizations for 20 years as a dramaturg, producer, and arts administrator. She is also a playwright and lives in San Francisco with her family.\nThis workshop will be facilitated by InterMusic SF, a part of the Professional Development Workshop Series. A pillar of programming, InterMusic SF offers public workshops that provide practical, usable guidance on a broad range of topics designed for professional musicians and facilitated by local experts.
