Composer/singer Erin Gee, with her signature vocal style, joins the Earplay ensemble for this World Premiere.\nSami Seif, Syriac Fugato (2022) for violin and viola. San Francisco Premiere. Praised in the press as a distinctive creator of “intoxicating and fascinating soundscapes”, Sami Seif is the winner of this year’s Vibrant Shores competition.\nGeorge Walker, Perimeters (1966) for clarinet and piano. Earplay celebrates the life of George Walker (1922-2018), the first African American to win the Pulitzer Prize in music.\nByron Au Yong, New Work (2024) for flute, clarinet, violin, viola, cello and piano. Earplay presents the World Premiere of a composer of works described as “intimate and existential, personal and political all at once” by Variety Magazine.\n\n
