SF Tango Academy: 2026 Workshop Concert September 7, 2026 | 2 PM San Francisco Community Music Center 544 Capp Street, San Francisco While tango is widely known for dance, concert-level listening tango remains a rare and demanding art form—requiring classically trained musicians with specialized tango mastery. This Labor Day, Sumi Lee (piano) is reuniting with world-renowned maestros Ramiro Boero (bandoneón), Guillermo Rubino (violin), and Pablo Lanouguere (bass)—direct from Buenos Aires and NYC—alongside players from the SF Tango Academy to take you beyond the dance floor to the concert hall. Together, they will bring you an intimate exploration of classic works by Pugliese, Salgán, and Troilo, as well as brilliant new contemporary compositions written by Maestro Ramiro Boero himself. When: Monday, September 7 at 2:00 PM Where: the Concert Hall at the Community Music Center (544 Capp St, SF — near 24th St. BART) Tickets: Reserve via Zelle ($30 via Zelle to [email protected], Labor Day Concert in the memo), or $31 to Venmo @SFTango.
