Ultra World X-tet combines jazz, world, experimental and contemporary concertstyles in a pioneering fusion of East and West. The ensemble features a group of musicians from diverse and colorful ethnic and musical backgrounds: Gary Schwantes,tenor and soprano saxophones/bamboo flutes/composer; Winnie Wong, guzheng(Chinese zither); Yangqin Zhao, yangqin (Chinese hammered dulcimer); Doug Ebert, bass; Surya Prakasha, drumset/percussion/harmonium.
