InterMusic SF Part Time Development Consultant

TIME COMMITMENT Part Time Schedule

JOB TYPE Temporary (Contract)

APPLICATION DEADLINE July 18th, 2021

START DATE Aug 1, 2021

About the position

We seek a development consultant (DC) who is an experienced fundraising professional with an excellent reputation.

The DC will play a critical role in addressing InterMusic’s fundraising needs by advising, planning, and helping implement InterMusic’s fundraising efforts from individuals (annual giving and major gifts), institutions, and corporations, as well as through special events.

About Intermusic SF
InterMusic SF is a nonprofit advocate for artists and a catalyst for dynamic, diverse, and creative music making. Our mission is to support Bay Area musicians in their professional growth to ensure a vibrant music community through live, free performances, fiscal sponsorship, grant making, career development, and curated performance partnerships.

We serve creators, performers, and presenters across a spectrum of genres, and cultural and aesthetic backgrounds, including early music, world-influenced music, classical music, new music, jazz and creative music.

InterMusic SF’s Programs
Our Fiscal Sponsorship Program focuses on access to resources for professional development, fundraising, networking, promotion, and visibility. Our fiscally sponsored affiliates include small ensembles, presenting organizations, educational programs, and composers.

Our Musical Grant Program, founded in 2008, supports the distinguished work of Bay Area musicians, and has awarded more than $885,300 to help support 299 diverse and ambitious musical projects in the Greater Bay Area.

Our flagship event, SF Music Day, engages thousands of audience members and hundreds of musicians from throughout the Bay Area for our annual celebration of live, local music making. This high-profile event in the heart of Civic Center provides a platform for the promotion of musicians’ work beyond the scope of the festival. Since our founding in 1999 as San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music, the organization has steadily broadened its purview, encompassing a greater diversity of musical practices focused on the small ensemble. Our core programs have served an increasingly broad musical community, leading eventually to our renaming in 2017 to reflect this growth. Our current budget is about $460,000.
